3 Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition
The University of Queensland’s 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition cultivates students’ academic, presentation and research communication skills.
Presenting in a 3MT competition increases individual researchers' capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
Venue
The School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering will be hosting its School-heat on Thursday 9 July, 2020.
The University of Queensland competition begins with School and Institute heats, with the winner progressing to one of the seven Faculty/Institute finals. The winner of each Faculty/Institute final then progresses to the final. The people's choice winner from each Faculty/Institute final has the opportunity to participate in the Wildcard competition, the winner of which is offered a place in the final as the Wildcard entrant.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into the research community at UQ, learn more about industry trends and support the development of research candidates at UQ.
